The End of 2021… Finally?
2021 has certainly been a bizarre year in so many ways. It’s been a long road getting here with twists and turns, but we made it to our destination better than we once started.
Market Update
Inflation is now over 6%. Gas prices are up 40%. Beef is up 60%. The equity markets have generally been up, but the band of companies performing well was a bit too narrow for many investors. The volatility jumped for most of those companies. The U.S Treasury Market went negative for 2021. China is continuing to spread its global wings. There are containers sitting offshore causing shelves in markets to become barren. Furthermore, the most negative news of all, even with 3 approved vaccines and booster shots available there will be more Covid-related deaths in 2021 than in 2020.
As the year ends, this is an important time to take stock of your investment portfolio.
Firstly, we recommend a Zoom meeting between now and early January.
We will review how we are preparing your portfolio for future growth, future potential shocks of 10% or greater, and future opportunities. This is going to be a political year with millions of dollars spent on political advertising, creating profitable opportunities.
Secondly, another important action to take at year-end is to evaluate your financial goals, whatever they may be.
What kind of progress have you made towards them? If you haven’t solidified these goals yet then it’s time to sit down, even virtually, and put these on paper.
Lastly, it’s time to take stock of your personal life, personal goals, and family matters.
If something needs fixing, it’s never too late. I’m a believer in the power of positive action.
The pandemic economy is still far from “normal,” and certain industries have a long uphill battle before returning to pre-COVID economic health.
On behalf of your team at Prosperity Financial Group, I want to wish you and your family a terrific holiday season, whether it be Christmas or Hanukkah, and wish you a magnificent 2022.
We continue to remain optimistic.
Let’s get together asap.
All my best,
Elliot
